HUE HERITAGE TOUR
Experience the Cultural World Heritage of Hue on a full-day tour and learn about the city’s dynastic history. Tour the Citadel: the Imperial City, the Emperor’s Private Residence, Khai Dinh Royal Tomb, Thien Mu Pagoda and Dong Ba Market.
08:00 - 08:30: Our car and experienced English speaking guide will pick you up at Chan May Port and you start the trip to visit Hue city.
Visit the Citadel - The palaces of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945), the last dynasty of Vietnam - Noon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, Imperial Ancestral Temple and Hue Royal Antiques Museum.
11:00: Lunch at a local restaurant.
Then, we will visit:
- Khai Dinh Tomb: The Tomb – the last tomb of the 12th King, Khai Dinh Emperor, represents a fusion of traditional Vietnamese style and modern influence. The tomb is almost entirely made of concrete and includes many European architectural details.
- Thien Mu Pagoda: The Pagoda is considered by many as the unofficial symbol of Hue. This is an active Buddhist monastery with its origins dating back to 1601. One of its most poignant displays is a car belonging to a former monk, who in 1963 drove to Saigon and set himself on fire in protest against the South Vietnamese regime and its cruel treatment of Buddhist monks and followers.
- Dong Ba Market: The Market is the oldest of its kind in Hue, with hundreds of stalls selling household items, handicrafts, clothing and fresh produce at affordable prices.
